Pictures of "Castaway"; we don't have any large pictures of her under sail, that weren't taken from on board, but one under power shows the whole boat and permanent crew. We have a few with a wide angle lens showing some of the sail, one here, too.

We use a folding "x" shape boom crutch, which lies on the side deck when not in use, and doesn't fly about even in rough seas! On hot sunny days, we can rig a 'bimini' over it, and it's perfectly stable, or a tarpaulin to keep the rain off if we don't want to put up the cockpit tent.

On the UK built F 33's/35's, the windlass was mounted on the 'bowsprit', with a hawse pipe running down to the chain locker.
