Re: F33 deck thingie-doohickey
That looks like it might have been the riser for the traveler, my F25 has the same sort of thing (teak block) in the same position, the traveler bolts thru it into the head liner below. Not sure where your traveler is now but may be it was retro-fitted aft?
Re: F25 shots
Results from a different kind of navigators race I did this summer. Everyone starts at any of 5 different starting points around Narragansett Bay in RI, the boat is anchored next to a mark with sails down and everyone has to be below, a radio alert at 9:00 starts the race. The objective is to sail a...

Re: Wasps!?
I had a nest of carpenter bees in my house, I hit the nest with wasp spray and they came out through every fitting in the ceiling and crevice in the wall, they have the ability to get through incredible small holes, I'd think wasps are the same. If you spray you have to run, the good thing is that t...
Re: F25 shots
I've thought about different ways of doing a jib, and the Etchells jib was exactly what I thought of since I sail them and have access to a bunch of used ones. I know it would be great for the lighter conditions, how much wind did you carry it up to? I also considered doing a mainsheet aft, either b...
F25 shots
Almost the end of the 2nd season racing my F25 wing mast. I did a lot better this year as I learned how to sail the boat a little better and cleaned up some of the systems, and did a slight re-cut on the main, which can be seen by the two black strips in the upper leech in this picture http://www.sh...

Re: engine issue
Well, I blew the hoses out and let it run for a while, basically was revving up and down on it's from 1000 to 1800 rpm's. Shut it down and blew the hoses out again (there were three), ran it again at about 1800 to 2000 rpm, then it slowly cranked up on it's own again and ended up at 2800 rpm and sta...

Re: Main won't go all the way up
One thing that will become an issue (and I had it with my F21 Fathead) is that the compression load of the top batten binds up the slides in the track. I doused both it and the next batten slide down with McLube and everything ran like a dream.

Re: engine issue
That sounds about right, with the engine under load and begging for more diesel, can't quite get it, slows down to the level where it can get enough fuel to stay powered, run it slower and the line fills back up, then starves again. How did you get the crud out of the fuel line?

engine issue
I've been having troubles with my 6 hp Yanmar on my F25. Turns out I had water in the fuel (a lot, not sure how it got there) as well as some algae growing. We pumped out the fuel, chunks of gunk came out as well as a lot of water, swabbed the inside of the tank as well as we could and got more goop...
