Re: Icebox upgrade

Very interested in your post! Where is your fresh water tank? My 75 gal tank is located behind the port settee….. right where your pics show - no room at all in mine at that location. ….very interested in your finished project!

Re: faucet replacement

Been on the Mississippi River since mid-December- got back new year’s, bought the sweet $50 galley faucet and installed today. The original had a spray feature too but would leak like crazy when the rubber cover for the sprayer was depressed….. this ought to be more than fine…. :D

Re: Anchor windless and anchor size

I like what Geoff said about the Ultra- from what I’ve read, better than the rocna:). I have a rocna - holds great on the N ca coast :). Like Geoff said it does come up muddy - I motor in circles after raising, with the rocna just below the waterline, and mud comes off clean. Very happy with it….. (...

Re: F35 (Pedrick) - New Sails

Steve - I’ve had 3 sets of main and jib from Mack Sails in Florida - recommend giving Travis an email or call and describe what you need - don’t know about the camber spar….. My main is from 2016, terrific condition, full battens and Antal cars. I ordered each time on line or phone. Sail fit perfect...

Re: Freedom 40/40 prop damage

A yard lifted my F 35 (P) by placing the lift belts under the prop shaft- bent it - but didn’t tell me. They installed a new pss shaft seal at that time- couple days later I was in a 70 mile race and had to motor for a time- vibration like crazy. So 70 miles away at end of race I asked the yard owne...

Re: Interior lights and and battery charger on shore power?

Earthman- yep, that’s how it should be - With shore power on, turn the dc on, and battery charger to on- should all be fine unless the agm’s are toast. Need a a multimeter to test batteries…

Re: Pendrick 35 Maxprop pitch settings

I just had my maxi prop taken off - for installation of a new pss pro shaft seal - and reinstalled - the blades were placed on the “K” setting , if that helps. The Freedom 35 is a big heavy boat but it should scoot at that setting, provided calm seas and clean hulls and blades. Hope that helps. IMG_...

Re: Rigging a Preventer

As promised I experimented in September with the Boom brake - I acquired an EasyGyb boom brake with gybe flex included line. The line was 52’ and too short for GoodWay- I needed something like 72’. I rigged the easy gybe aft of my preventer and ran a thinner line through the p/s blocks adjacent the ...
