Re: Changed F30 interior lighting to LED
That looks real nice! I would also recommend these bulbs from MarineBeam. They start out red, and then if you turn the light off and back on it switches to a nice warm white light. They also make a G4 version for those ubiquitous brass reading lamps. I've had mine in use for five years, and they all...

Re: Fuel fill F30
I anticipated a similar problem, and this is what I came up with: Fuel fill idea . After three years, the system is still working great, and probably one of the best upgrades I've thought of myself. When at the fuel dock, I still fill the tank through the deck plate like normal, but it's good to kno...

Re: Camber spar
Hi there Mike. I have my first Freedom, a Pedrick 35. You mentioned the topping lift RE shortening. Can you provide some insight into the correct height for the clew on the jib. Thanks My $0.02: make it long enough to just keep the spar off the deck when the sail is down, but short enough to not ge...

Re: Mast hole :: re-wiring
Two holes is plenty. You don’t want your mast looking like Swiss cheese, especially towards the bottom. Just use the empty hole for additional wires.

Re: Freedom 36 Sloop propeller
If anyone is interested in a discounted Maxprop, PYI sells refurbished ones that are "good as new," all shined up like the above picture. They have a bunch of parts from used props at their shop and can cobble one together for you, depending on the size you need. The one I bought started life as a 1...

Re: mast wedge help
Here’s the bracket on my last boat, which was built in 1986, hull number 25. One of the previous owners had the top hat retrofitted so it had a channel in it for the bolt, but for some reason they never actually fitted a bolt (nor drilled the holes in the mast for it).
