Could someone please supply me with a labeled diagram for the deck layout for a Freedom 36 cat ketch detailing the running rigging. Also, I would appreciate opinions on the effectiveness of the single line reefing (in boom). Would you give it up for conventional slab reefing or does it work well. Ma...

Oh....and a further tip that was passed onto me by a Freedom 33 owner years ago. When I step the mast in the spring I seal it all up with Draft Seal ..... a peel able type sealant......works like a charm.

Far easier method (at least for me) than trying to hammer overhead to drive the polyurethane wedge/rings out is to use a 2x3 length of wood (trimmed on top) on top of a small bottle jack. Be sure to place a piece of plywood under the jack to disperse the pressure and protect the floor. This is the w...

What do other F28CKers have in the way of reefing setups. Presently I have a single reef in main and mizzen and am thinking of putting a second reef in the main only. My thinking is that by the time I need to put the second reef in the main, I will have put the mizzen away anyway. Please let me know...

Yet another positive vote for the Tides Marine "Strongtrack" system. Just finished my first season with it and absolutely LOVE it.......one of the best buys on my boat. Freedom 28 catketch (centerboard & standard booms). Cheers
