Thanks Tom. I think I see the pockets for the full length battens. Otherwise it seems to look the same as my later Haarstick jib with short battens.

Re: Jib sail options for the Freedom 32 (Hoyt)
Rich,
Thanks for reminding me about Thurston. I had a companionway dodger made by his brother last year.

Re: Jib sail options for the Freedom 32 (Hoyt)
Hi Tom, Thanks for the reply. Do you happen to have a picture of your original Beirig jib on your boat? I'd like to get a sense of the differences between it and my original Haarstick jib. Not sure why the jib design changed from a jib with full battens to a more conventional jib. For your informati...

Jib sail options for the Freedom 32 (Hoyt)
I need a replacement jib for my Freedom 32 (Hoyt design). Mine current sail is a Haarstick that was original with the boat. It has short battens, little to no roach, and a pocket for the Bierig Camber Spar. I decided to ask Dave Bierig for a quote but he is retiring but I learned that his design for...

Re: leaking vented loop
I had a leaky vented loop on my F32 and it eventually caused my external engine oil line to rust thru. Not good. I moved the line along the bulkhead to the port side where I was able to get it a bit higher and put a drip loop in the lines so that if leaked again it wouldn't be above the engine but o...

Re: Scrapping a Freedom 30 - Lots of parts
I'm looking for an aluminum toe rail chock for docking lines for my Freedom 32 (Hoyt). Would you know that or do you have a picture? I could also send a picture of mine if that would be helpful, but I'm not exactly sure how to do that on this forum.

Re: Bluewater
Hi Dale, I sailed my Hoyt F32 from San Francisco to Hawaii many years ago. I learned that using the gunmount spinnaker was pretty scarey with any kind of rolling sea as the spinnaker pole nearly goes into the water often. I only tried that once. After about a week of my crew and I hand steering the ...

Re: short stand for saloon table freedom32
Not sure what you mean by a short stand. My F32 (Hoyt) has a telescoping table stand that lets you lower it all the way down to the level of the settee so that you can use the table as part of a bunk.
