Re: Is this a G10 rig?
Sailing-61-North Can I just toss in a couple of small points? The word "rakbanden" is plural. The original design of the rig does not use a spiral line down the luff, it uses a series of short lines, using the method used by Dutch sailing barges. If I remember correctly they were the outer sheath of...

Re: Is this a G10 rig?
The original on my boat had two lines through a double block. If I have it right these were used to raise/lower the wishbone? Or were they the main haylard attached to both layers of sails. One of the documents I am looking at is for a Freedom 30 so maybe it's different. Do you have any sketches of...

Re: 28 CK Deck Hardware?
This thread https://www.freedomyachts.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=12051 has a copy of the F28/30 CK rigging schedule. The deck diagram in the scan is lopsided, so detail is missing, but I added a list of the order the lines lie in. If you have the standard rig it's two reefing lines from each mast. You...

Gerald,
Rest assured, there's nothing at all wrong with that file. It's a normal PowerPoint presentation with no macros.

Re: 28 CK with extra ballast?
Have you searched carefully for plugs concealing the heads of the screws? If the job was done properly they may be very hard to spot. My UK built F30 CK had screws holding the floorboards down (somebody took them out long ago). For some mysterious reason the floorboard aft of the centreboard trunk w...

Re: engine sizing for an F28 ck Hoyt
The only wrinkle is that you have to take the rudder off to change the prop - but not to change the anode!

Rafael
Here's my FeatherStream with the flat anode. No modification to the rudder needed.

Yes, I told Geoff a few days ago. He said he'd look into it when he has the opportunity.

Re: engine sizing for an F28 ck Hoyt
I was puzzled by the weight in the literature. Hard to sea how a boat with 1.5 tons of lead ballast and the high volume hull that the 28 CK has can weigh in at 3 tons. The FeatherStream should fit without needing any modification. There's two versions of the anode, pointed and flat. The flat one fit...

Re: F38 Mast Leak, Ready to admit defeat
You might like to take a look for flexible drainage pipe connectors. I don't know details for the American market, but this is a US-based plumber demonstrating one on pipes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0CjCHPkTp0 They come in a very wide range of sizes and the price includes stainless steel jubi...
