Re: F32: what are these “circular cutouts” on the deck?

That is the deck drain, same on the 3 "84 Hoyt 32's that I have seen.

Re: Port windows F32

Regarding you last paragraph, the lack of expansion room is what I believe to be the root cause of the plexi on mine to crack. I won't know for certain until disassembly, but most radiate from screw holes. So yes, I agree that is absolutely necessary. What thickness plexi are you using? Did you deci...

Re: Port windows F32

Tom, I had wondered the same thing about my '84 32 as it has the same mounting as yours, no framing at all and only screws holding the windows. I too have replacing windows on my to do list and mine were supposedly replaced not too long prior to my purchase except almost all of them leak to due stre...

Re: Introduction April 2020 Anna and Distant Drummer a 33

Welcome Anna and congratulations. you'll find that combined everyone here (and many on their own) is a wealth of Freedom Yachts knowledge; I have received wonderful information about my Hoyt 32 from this group. Good luck on your ventures and fair winds!

Re: Prop, what would you do?

You should be close to max RPS when WOT. If you change prop pitch and get 3400 RPM with no smoke, which you shouldn't, you'll be about as good as can be hoped for.

Re: F32:Mast base is moving (normal?)

You will find many posts about this very issue. Many people have had a new "hat" made for the mast to sit on/over. I've had no play with mine in the three years I've had her, but I do not have an L bracket either. I have a single bolt that runs through the mast and this "hat", it seems very rigid. I...

Re: Jack Lines

Hi Alan, this may be unconventional (I'm anything but conventional lol) but I was considering running one from the steering pedestal forward and around the mast and back to the pedestal, basically in a loop. Snug enough that you can reach the bow while wearing the harness but not so much slack as to...

1984 F32 pulpit

My pulpit had some damage on it when I purchased the boat a couple years ago, nothing disastrous of course. Before I pay someone to repair it I thought I would ask the community if anyone knew of an available one. It does need to be the pulpit for the gun mount spinnaker from a Hoyt 32. If anyone kn...

That is probably the preferred method. Where or who did you order from?

Re: Odd mainsail shape - advice?

Hi Dale, of course the action to do so may vary depending on how boats are rigged and the angle of the boom in relation to the traveler. If the boom is within the range of the traveler I tighten the main sheet and make wind adjustments with the traveler. If the boom is further outside of the travele...
