Re: Spinnaker Rig Freedom 30
By the way, did you have to retrofit a gunmount compatible pulpit? I had to do that and it was a major PIA, including getting the thing here to Cali from a "part out" F30 on the East Coast. What a hoot that was! I got on Craigslist and found a couple in Maryland who were driving West. Hired them to ...

Re: Spinnaker Rig Freedom 30
I figured I would try photos of the pages to avoid scanner clarity loss. Lets see how i works.
The doc is not signed and I forgot who gave them to me so major credit to that unknown author. The Rick Simmonds doc is a separate article I believe.
I numbered the pages so you can sort them out.

Re: Spinnaker Rig Freedom 30
Oh man, sorry about that. I saw your follow on "no photos" months ago and did not respond. I have a doc with some photos. I thought I got it from this site but don`t know where. I will go down to the boat and bring my rigging manual up to scan the doc for you. Hopefully the pics will survive the sca...

Re: Interior lights and and battery charger on shore power?
Earthman As I found out over the years, the boat electrical system is really a key element of the vessel and of enjoying your time aboard. If it is well set up, your life is way less stressful...as you are already discovering. I was in exactly the same situation as you when I bought my boat in terms...

Re: Interior lights and and battery charger on shore power?
Let the upgrades begin fellow Freedom 30 owner. Good AGMs should last longer than 7 years if cared for properly. I realize that is a big if. My lifeline AGMs went 14 years. 12.3 v is not good. But all is not lost depending on what is happening on the charging side. How is the boat set up? Are you su...

Re: Pendrick 35 Maxprop pitch settings
For what it's worth, I do 6.2 kts over water in an F30 at 2800 8 month old bottom. I have calibrated against GPS and this is pretty close to reality. Boat weight 7400, probably 8400 +/- loaded out, but no beer and me on a diet.

faucet replacement
This has been plumbers appreciation month in my neck of the woods. Leaking sea cock followed by leaking hot water heater followed by leaking galley faucet. Enough with the leaks already!! I bought a cheap high profile faucet to replace the leaking one which was about sixteen years old. Pictures atta...

Re: Fuel fill F30
Thank you for the input. I can refuel in about five minutes or less to get 5 gals out of a jug. I refueled at the weather deck 20 times, literally, during my sail back from Hawaii. I reckon the weather deck is far more exposed than the lazarette although I agree there is a big hole in the boat need ...
