New winches: Lewmar: Evo or Ocean? Pls comment

WM is having their BOGO Lewmar winch sale

Love to hear opinions: EVO vs Ocean?

Electric vs Manual?

Please comment thanks

Re: 1985 Freedom 32 for sale on CR Sarasota

Sorry Ian. No have. Just search it in Sarasota CL or open search “Freedom 32 Cortez”. You can buy it and should based on a sound survey. Just do it. Even if you spruce it up and consider the new motor you could flip it for a couple grand. The CO is simply running out of time 😕

Re: Wanted to buy: Freedom 32 or 35

Did you check with the guy selling the 32 in Cortez FL? His price is so low it would make sense to transport it north. With a brand new Yanmar 27 installed and other upgrades it is a steal (based on a favorable survey of course)
Pssst… the guy is close to a “must sell” date. ;)

1985 Freedom 32 for sale on CR Sarasota

If this boat is already noted in the thread, I will delete this. Let me know. Owner is asking $23,000 for what appears to be a decent offering at a fair price. There is a new diesel installed recently and a new bank of batteries. Seems it is currently docked in Cortez, FL. Through emails with the se...

Re: Fuel tank removal on F32

Why not just cut the top off and use it for "hidden" storage. The cutout could be trimmed out to appear to be still intact. In my mind, I am picturing a kitchen sink rim from the old days. Anyone looking under the cushion would just see a tank with lines. But, inside you could hide virtually anythin...

Re: DIFFERENT MODELS OF 32

APM, sailboat data will have what you may be looking for including luff length. To oversimplify~ if your hull was laid in the mid 80’s you have a Freedom 32 designed by Mr. Hoyt. Within that boat there are two designations; SK for shoal draft keel length and standard length. The ‘other’ models you m...

F32 on the west coast appears to be a steal

Obviously it needs personal inspection, but this looks like a distress sale.

Re: Freedom 32 in NC?

The Hoyt 32 is for you! Just make sure you are starting with a sound hull and deck. Take a look at YW. There is what appears to be a great deal on a F32 @ $20K.
Long way but even with transport it could be a safe bet.

I'm having second thoughts about selling her anyway. Might just leave her back here as a vacation bolt hole.
I second that decision! What body of water are you on?
