Re: How do I get the wishbooms off?
Good information from both of you. Thank you! I didn't see a joint, but I may have been distracted by the thousands of spiders revolting against my removal of the sails... Side note: I left the folded and rolled sails in the car overnight when I got home from the marina-bad idea. Every morning have ...

How do I get the wishbooms off?
Am I missing something? There doesn’t seem to be a bolted, or even riveted section I can remove to take off my booms. Are you really supposed to take them over the top of the masts? I want to get some welding done on mine and look into anodizing or powder coating.
Thanks! Jeff
Thanks! Jeff

Re: Mainsheet attachment for 28 CK?
Thanks, Gerald. I'm probably not going as far as installing a traveler, but I will likely use the outboard attachment points in an inverted "V" configuration. I've got a small exhaust stack in the center for my heater, so eliminating that middle block would be better to keep the sheet from sweeping ...

Mainsheet attachment for 28 CK?
Since I’m done with my porthole replacement project, I attacked the cabin top today. Handrails are gone, fairleads up by the hatch are gone, and I’m eyeing the mainsheet block attachments. I’ve seen photos with the mainsheet blocks sheeting to a single padeye mid-deck with a 3:1 system. I’ve got thr...

0E6FB340-E986-4882-90DC-B25083E7563E.jpeg +1 on the butyl. Three rolls so far as I complete my many-month port replacement. My tip: Store it in a ziploc in the fridge and bring it to the boat in a cooler with a cold pack. It’s gets hard to work with when it’s warm. I notice I get additional turns o...

Re: Is this a G10 rig?
Awesome-Thanks for the photos! I'm still trying to get my head around the boom attachment/outhaul 'system' the p/o has, so every pic is helpful. I've heard of people using webbing to lace the sail to the mast vs. line. The line that's on there now is old, dirty, and dried out and doesn't slide up an...

Re: Is this a G10 rig?
Thanks! I read all the threads that came up in a search for “G10”. Looked at the PowerPoint, as well. I think it’s a variation of the idea. Think I tracked down the sailmaker who made them. She happens to be the mother of my sailmaker!

Is this a G10 rig?
1A85C3A1-A9A1-4E7B-95A8-6CB52A57839F.jpeg To the disappointment of the sparrows and spiders nesting within, I finally raised the mizzen on my 28CK. Can someone identify this setup? From reading the board, it sounds like a G10 style, but I truly have no idea. As ratty as it looks, it’s fairly crisp....

Re: solar panel system setup - request for advise
Carrying my question over from the other thread, 2-1/2 years in, are you happy with your setup still? Anything you would have done differently? How have the flexible panels worked and held up?

Re: 28 CK Deck Hardware?
Hi Jeff The attached is not specifically of the deck layout, but it gives you an idea of what I've done. I had to re-direct all lines to make room for the solar panels on the coach roof. All control lines, including reefing lines -2 per sail- lead to the cockpit. Rafa Oh wow. Great layout. I'm seei...
