Offshore Downwind with Gunmount Spinnaker

I’m curious to hear from folks with offshore experience running off the wind with the gun-mount spinnaker. I assume this will primarily be the F32 crowd. I’ve found that my F25 handles really well under spinnaker alone going downwind in heavy conditions for inshore daysailing, probably better than w...

Re: Electric motor inboard

Looking at the Aquamot website, I can understand why you'd be tempted to choose AGMs, assuming you are thinking of buying their "house brand." It seems they have developed their own brand of AGM's with "massive" plates that they claim are designed for "750 cycles at 75% discharge at 25°C". Compare t...

F25 Legible Parts List

I'm sure this has come up before, but I wonder if anyone has a legible version of the "Parts List" page from the Freedom 25 manual? This is the page I'm hoping to find:

Re: Freedom Videos

I see from your video that your F21 has a couple of features that I believe are not standard: 1) self-tacking "blade" jib, and 2) mainsheet led forward along the boom. Are these common on F21's where you are located? I would be interested in seeing some details, as these are features I've often thou...

Paul Dennis Article in Aug 2019 "Points East"

I happened to be in Portland (ME) in August and a colleague who also sails naturally picked up a copy of the free boating rag "Points East" to browse the scene. I had spied a F25 a bit like mine in the mooring field off the Fort at the east end of town, and had pointed it out to my colleague. I gues...

Re: Digests were not sent

Has anyone else not been receiving digests recently?

I have checked my "junk" folder on my end and don't see them there.

Also tried changing from weekly to daily frequency as a test.

Re: Freedom 25 update

Although this is an old thread, I got a request to post some photos of how I installed a boomkicker on my F25. This was ten years ago, and the epoxy bond is holding strong! 0817091608.jpg 0817091606.jpg 0817091606a.jpg I used a 7" dado blade at a 12 deg angle to produce the cove cut that matches the...
