I just noticed in the drawing that there is a separate ring and collar. 2 pieces. So I was probably wrong about that and just never saw the ring set in the cabin top because the collar never came off. I have been using the terms interchangeably. I have always meant collar!

Thanks for the reply James. But without removing the ring, there is no way to "seat" the urethane ring correct? I think that is what happened to me. Nice! Who did the orange powder coat? Were they able to do one small piece like that or was there more?

It is orange spray paint. I sanded the aluminum very smooth, primed with an aluminum primer a couple of coats and then a rust oleum orange paint 3 coats I think. Pretty happy with the results.
