Re: WTB Hoyt Gun Mount Freedom 30
I bought my mount and pole from a guy with a Mull 36. You will need a gun mount pulpit. Do you have one on the boat? I had to buy one and retrofit. Was a major PIA. But doable. I agree with Geoff, I have no opinion on the conversion proposed, but properly set up wing on wing is magic and simple magic at that.GeoffSchultz wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2024 5:56 pmMay I ask why you want to do this? You seem to want to do away with one of the wonderful aspects of a Freedom. Running wing-on-wing is absolutely great.

Re: Spinnaker Rig Freedom 30
Sorry about my babbling but you spinnaker people may be interested, Those white hooks you see sitting atop the midships pulpit in the photos are used to support the spinnaker pole. I have one port and starboard depending on where I want the weight. I'll stow it to windward on long tacks (very long t...

Re: Spinnaker Rig Freedom 30
One more thing. If you need a spinnaker "launch sleeve" on deck. I purchased an industrial sewing machine about two years ago and have gotten reasonably proficient with fabrication. I did my own covers for sails, hatches and companionway, etc. Canvas fabricators have gotten ridiculously expensive an...
