My 84 25, round mast easily does 5.5 knots at 3,000 rpm. Could the problem be with the folding prop?

I feel a hard vang would be easier to use as a topping lift than the lazy jacks. My battens get hung up in the lazy jacks when raising the main. Hopeing that if I could let the lazy jacks be loose the battens would be less apt to get caught in them. My goal with this boat is to make it as easy to sa...
