Sub-forums in "Physical Systems" Category

It's been suggested that to increase the number sub-forums in the "Physical Systems" category. Right now we have Electrical Electronics Engines and Mechanical Systems Plumbing Rigging and Sails Do people think that this is sufficient? Should we add more, and if so, what? Personally I think that we s...

Re: Freedom 40 at large

Welcome to the new forum! And best of luck on the cruise. It sounds wonderful. I'd just like to make a comment on your web site. You're using a script font, which at least on MSIE and Firefox and a 1280x1024 resolution screen, ends up being very difficult to read. Perhaps if you just increased the f...

Re: Possible improvements

I found that I had to modify PHP settings as well as board settings to allow it to upload such large files. You can now upload 12 MB files with a max of 20 MB per post. Alain, your file has been uploaded into the "Manuals and Documentation" forum: http://freedomyachts.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=62 -- ...

Perkins 4108 Workshop Manual in PDF format

Due to some configuration issues associated with posting a 9 MB file, I posted this for Alain. The forum will now allow 12 MB files with a maximum of 20 MB per post.

Re: Possible improvements

You'll have to log in once again and then after that it should work. It has to create a cookie that contains with the right domain name. It's working for me now on MSIE, Firefox and Chrome.

Re: Possible improvements

Alain, I think that I have it fixed. Something broke when I moved the forum from geoffschultz.org to freedomyachts.org. I made a change and now it seems to be keeping you logged in between sessions. Are you still having issues with uploading the 8-9 MB PDF file? I upped the limit to 10 MB, so it sho...

Re: How do I save a draft of a posting?

When you've saved a draft of a post, all that you do is to click "load" when you're in the post/reply screen and pick a saved draft. For example, I saved this reply and then re-read your question and clicked "reply." When the "post a reply" screen came up, I clicked on "load" (next to "save") and ne...

How to Include Boat Type Info in Your Posts

You can easily include information about what kind of boat you have by adding the field to your "location" field in your profile. To do this: Make sure that you're logged in. Click on "User Control Panel" which is located in the upper right corner of most pages. Click on "Profile" on the left hand s...

Re: user info

That's a good idea, but there's no way to esaily add a field like boat type. However, I'd suggest that you enter the type of boat into the location field of your profile and this info will appear in all of my posts. For example, I updated the "location" field of my profile to show that I have a Free...

George,

Looks beautiful...but what's it used for?

Next, what are you using to wrap the exhaust system?
