Cover ( 2 parts), frame and wooden lattes available if needed. No canvas rot. I believe Fairclough can do repairs. I boug...

Hatch Solar Vent
I have an ICP SolarVENT installed on main cabin hatch that is no longer working. It has a 5 inch opening. This model is no longer available. All the newer solar vents fit a 3 or 4 inch opening. Is there anything available to slot into my 5 inch opening or perhaps one that comes with an adaptor. Look...

Re: solar panel system setup - request for advise
Hoping to revive this conversation chain. Any thoughts on a solar set up for an F38. Thinking of the bimini arch but it is not very strong. Flexible panels on the deck will probably be impacted by shade. Has anyone found a stronger arch that fits the F38? I definitely want to install solar for next ...

Re: cracked mast
I had similar lateral cracks on my F38 mast. I posted my concern on this website some years back and got an interesting response from the engineer (Rick) who worked on Freedom masts from 1980 tom 1985. I have copied his response below. "I am the engineer that did the structural engineering on Freedo...

Re: Main Halyard Problem
I always attach the main halyard to the back of the boom when not in use. On the mooring I use it to raise the boom to a level above head height.
