If I remember correctly the mast is 36ft long. I used to trailer mine twice a year, strapped on top if the bow pulpit and a 2x4 support at the stern.

Hello NE-Sail

Without pictures of both the emergency tiller, rudderstock and interference, it's hard to determine your best solution, but I would prefer to modify the tiller over the rudderstock.
