Re: Pedrick F35 Autopilot

I concur with the comment to contact Paul Dennis. He did mine and it works flawlessly. Here are a couple of pics of the completed install.

Re: Photo of F30 or F32 needed for BoatUS

Geoff,
I have photos from when I sold my Mull 30. Exterior and interior. Where do I send them?

Re: Zincs are going fast

Hi Ed, We were discussing this very thing at a recent club meeting. A lot of people experienced that this summer. General consensus is t hat warmer water speeded up the electrolysis. No scientific evidence. Just that you aren't the only one to experience this problem. Did you get aggressive barnacle...

Pedrick F35 line storage

How do owners store lines on their Pedrick 35's? I don't like using the line lockers on the sides of the cockpit. I feel that the lines get wet and mildew in there. I've been using the button line holders from United Yachting. They are very low profile and don't stick into your hips when going down ...

Re: line holding up Chamber spar

I use a wire clamp on the head stay to support the forward end of the camber spar and leave the "topping life" line attached to aft end. I don't like covering up turnbuckles with tape or anything. If you can't see it you don't know what is happening under the tape. At the end of the day I do unshack...

Re: Larger jib dimensions and rigging

Talk to Steve Thurston at Quantum Sails in Bristol, RI. He can fill you in on the likely options.
For hardware, you are going to need genoa tracks and winches mounted on the cockpit coamings.

My F35 has the genoa tracks but not the cockpit winches.

Re: Reefing Blocks in Boom

The blocks in the boom are for the outhaul. Mine got tangled and I removed them also. Feeling is that you can adjust the outhaul for the day before going out and then cleat it off.

Re: Securing Main Halyard to Protect Forestay

Ed, I do the same with mine, that is, I tuck it under the boom to the topping lift cleat. Lost one fore stay in 19 years of sailing a Freedom. It was rusty and past it's time any way. I don't think it is worth the extra effort to move the halyard every evening.

Re: f36 Dry Rot near mast & head

I found the same problem on every F35 I looked at, even the one I bought. The rain comes down the mast and collects. The bung holes thru the bulkhead to the bilge aren't sealed. Paul Dennis was doing some work on the boat that first winter. He cut out the rotted wood under the floor boards, repaired...

Re: Raymarine linear drive attachment

Paul Dennis at Warren River Boatworks in Warren, RI, did mine. He added an arm to the steering quadrant and a mounting plate to the starboard bulkhead. (You don't want to puncture that holding tank!) I'll see if I can get a picture today but not guarantees. Getting in and out of the lazarette isn't ...
