Our local (Connecticut) gases and welding supply company replaced the valve and decertified our tank with no issues.
I think I saw a new tank of this type and size at West Marine, so that could also be an alternative.

Thanks, Geoff. Really appreciate you doing this. Impressive success.
Might you have a tally by boat size or model?

Re: Tashmoo recently?
If anyone is able to answer Ed re Tashmoo, could you also comment on the depth and navigation challenges of the channel? Since we have the deep keel model, drawing over 6 ft, I have not been brave enough to attempt entering.
Thanks!

Re: Camber Spar Sheave
Paul Dennis at Warren River Boatworks replaced that sheeve for me. Aluminum instead of nylon i think.
Anyway he is the guru of Camberspars (and most everything else Freedom).
I think he is the only source for Camberspar parts.

Re: Anyone using a competitor to the Milwaukee Right Angle?
Agree you'd be well to look for a competitor's drill. We have a Milwaukee and it is overkill for our f32. Heavy and bulky too. Applying SailCoat to our slides once or twice a season mostly solves our problem.
I can't disparage the Milwaukee though. Unbelievable torque!

Just for reference, Mark Edwards is at Cape Yachts in South Dartmouth, MA:

Mark was so knowledgeable and helpful to us in finding our F-32. He was a key guy at Freedom and TPI so really knows these boats.

Re: Cockpit Enclosure for Freedom 38
Our 32 has a full enclosure. Nice to know we could use it if the situation called for it, but we actually have only used the connector and the side curtains of the dodger. (Okay, we're pretty much fair weather sailors.). I would note a few less obvious considerations: storage space, the work to brea...

No panting rod in our 1985 F32. Interesting topic though.

Re: F32 battery box rebuild
Neat work. Looks like a great fit too. Remind us of what batteries you've installed. (Is that a house bank of three 12v batteries in parallel, or is one your starting battery?).
Thanks.
