Re: Varifold- propeller to F35 cat ketch
I had an F-33 and put a variprop feathering prop on and it fit. Bought it because it would fit in tight space. Was very happy with it. Don't see how the varifold would fit assuming your aperture is the same as I had on the US 33 cat ketch.

Re: Boating through Cape Cod Canal-Advice?
When I first did the canal I made 2 mistakes. The first is I was overly conservative about going at slack current. Much better to use the current to speed you along but keep in mind if the wind is against you going into Buzzards Bay you'll get some big chop and maybe standing waves ahead of that. If...

Re: F33 emergency tiller broke!!!
The emergency tiller on my prior F-33 was much more massive then your picture and fit over the top of the rudder.

Re: F36/38 outhaul and camberspar toping lift
On my F33 I removed the reefing blocks from my boom (they don't provide mechanical advantage just are supposed to help bring the sail down evenly which but I found it just added friction). I left the outhaul blocks since I needed the mechanical advantage.

Re: climbing your unstayed carbon mast, your experience?
On my F33 I used an ATN topclimber if I was alone. If I had someone to take me up then I used a SPinlock Mast climbing harness. I found that the climbing harness allowed me to comfortable stay well above the masthead and was far better for that then the bosun's chair. Perhaps someone taller using an...

Re: f33 rudder seperation
See attached photos of 1982 US built fixed keel( would think the rudder would be attached the same for swing keel since the keel stub is the same but not sure).

Re: Beefed up battery charging
On my F-33 I typically do local sailing/cruising but when I did a trip from Boston to Bermuda I installed a hamilton ferris wind towable water generator. This worked out very well and when I'm doing long distance passages I just stow it. Of course it doesn't help if one is becalmed. Just a possibili...

Suggestions for keeping my boat in Florida
I have an F-33 in Boston. We recently moved to Florida but I haven't decided wether to sail the boat down and keep it here or sell it. I have previously sailed boats south both offshore and on the intracoastal and I lived on one in Melbourne FL for 5 years and also cruised it in the bahamas/islands....
