We have the same problem with our 39DS #27. It looks to us like the cabin top might have settled, thus causing water to puddle next to the cabin sides. When docked, moored, or anchored I mop up dew/rain almost daily.

Repower Freedom 39 PH.
Looking at replacing our Perkins 4-108 with a Yanmar 4JH5SE in our Freedom 39 PH. Has anybody done this? Anything to watch out for?
Thanks,

Looks like we won't be out of Alameda until tomorrow (Monday).
It was nice getting to meet gamayun and mdmatthews, who came by to visit while we were in Marina Village.
We'll try again on our way back north.

Well, the cat's stitches are out, but the vet wants him to take it easy for a few more days.
We won't be coming in to Clipper Cove until Sunday afternoon earliest.
We'll keep you posted.

The olive oil trick only lasted a few months. The o-rings and packing had hardened. The Service kit is Whale part number AK0618, West Marine part number 2508844. Runs about $12 US. Easy to install. There is one o-ring that you will need a dental pick to get out (and destroy the ring in the process),...

Hi Carliane, I'm assuming you have Kenyon booms. The only place I know of with parts for Kenyon spars is rigrite.com. They are quirky in that you have to look up the parts you want on their web site, then call them with the part numbers to place your order. The web site does not include prices. We p...

Hello, We are in San Francisco bay for an unplanned extended stay (cat needed veterinarian attention). We should be able to leave Alameda on September 5th. Re: Added ballast to the keel of a Freedom 39 DS?
I've decided to just trust that Ron Holland knew what he was doing, and not try to modify the keel. We did find we were listing to port when we got moved on board and tanked up the port fuel tank (PO had used the stbd tank exclusively, guess we know why now). I got a bunch of canned goods moved out ...
