Re: Marelon Valve Replacement
Sorry haven’t seen this! With the boat in the water, take the white plug on the handle of the valve, tie a line to it, go under the boat and insert it into the through hole. Should fit perfectly Then with all parts ready at hand 😜 remove the 4 bolts, remove the housing, replace with nEw housing and ...

Deck non skid
I’m Re-applying non skid to the deck with the boat in the water - using kiwi grip in sea foam green as before. I’ve completed 17 sections with 10 to go. So far so good. A couple sections came out too aggressive in non skid so afterwards I’ll lightly sand off the peaks and re-apply a thin coat. So fa...

Re: Yanmar 3gm30f and Kazaki tranny
I bought a new Kanzaki transmission and it’s installed - see if it works tomorrow
Cost was very low and Lucky to find it I believe — 2 hours for install time
Update - tranny worked perfectly. I have the old one if anyone wants one - just needs gear lapping…

Re: Marelon Valve Replacement
Can you tell where the valve is leaking? Forespar is easy to work with - the valve has numbers on the side and you can call forespar and get a replacement kit - the handle lever, black stack with 4 bolts/screws. Pretty easy and inexpensive fix. Basically the replacement kit is everything in pic two ...

Re: How to delete PMs
Hi Mike - have had the same concern- I tried
* goto private messages
* select rules, etc….
* select “delete oldest post first”
My PM shows full too but when I selected that option I can still get PM’s- Don’t know however.

Re: Yanmar 3gm30f and Kazaki tranny
Thanks. I’m going back for a sail and motor run Monday. Search so far shows (1) cheapest - buy a shim kit for the gear lever on the tranny ($5!), (2) pull the cone gear out and refinish it or (3) new tranny $$$ - we’ll see and may have been me rushing things this week.

Re: Yanmar 3gm30f and Kazaki tranny
Transmission - Kazaki - is mechanical - the dip stick for the transmission has a top off mark quite near the bottom - always difficult for me to see whether the oil is at the mark or above it - especially with new oil. I couldn’t really tell so I added a bit more. Standing at the binnicle, with the ...
