Re: B&G Vulcan 12 R

Certainly keep us posted on your upgrades. The new plotters and MFDs look pretty slick. What is not to like: everything integrated on one touch screen, with fast screen redraw, instruments, touch screen, sailing oriented views, solid state radar overlay, weather, routing, AIS targets integrated to V...

Re: Freedom 35 - Bent Prop Strut?

Seems like most yards that work on engines, drive trains and glass work should be able to handle. Getting the job done in a timely fashion given current supply and labor issues could be a challenge. Am curious where one would get a new strut and what a reasonable estimate for this project would be. ...

Re: Generator Diesel Smell in Stateroom

Hi, Might be an exhaust leak. But could be diesel leaking and burning on block or the unit needs a tune-up. Carbon Monoxide could be an issue. Panda has pretty good service so reaching out may be worth it to get some troubleshooting tips and most likely root cause. Marine Technical Support For Marin...

Re: Repower time - Freedom 32 Yanmar

Hi, I have the same motor and have been able to find anything I need either locally or online. Agree that yanmar parts are never cheap. But if I were forced to repower researching a Beta would be the first option. Electric Is getting better all the time but not sure it worth it quite yet. The repowe...

Re: Need HIN for Freedom 35 built in UK

Hi, Interesting that the CG did not require a HIN for the certificate. In theory the importer would have been required to request a HIN then permanently affix it to the boat to be imported then documented. If it does not exist then it does not appear it can be “derived” and would have to be requeste...

Re: Need HIN for Freedom 35 built in UK

Hi, Any chance it is on any of the ships papers like the bill of sale, title, certificate of documentation, or state registration ? It is usually something that is needed to complete registration application. For homebuilt and imported boats there is a process to request depending state or CG regist...

Re: Freedom 36 battery location and number?

Hi,

Glad that previous owner installed new bank under settee in front of sink. No idea how he ran the cables. 4 six volt batteries. Starting battery is under chart table.

Have designs on solar panels and an inverter down the road.
