Hi All,
I have recently purchasedFreedom 35 - Fairways Marine UKyear 1981 - Nr:120
She was located in S France, now lies in Ymuiden, HollandMy question is about the liftable keel/sword of the boat: I took the keel up for the transport of the boat, but can’t seem to get it down anymore now. I don’t think it is due to dirt or waterpocks looking from under the boat.
Has anyone faced similar problems?
kind regards,
Laurens Visser

Hi Laurens,
it probably helps to remove the lid of the centerboard case inside the boat. On
my
Fairways F35 there had a lot of screws to be removed and the lid be carefully
lifted at its
forward end where the stainless tube passes through. After that the centerboard
can be
inspected from above.
I hope this is helpful.

Hi,
I agree I would definately open the lid and check, you will find two wooden
blocks that may be in a wrong possition, or you may have some kind of jam or
an object stucked in the way.
