Anyone have information on genoa lead track cars for a Mull 1988 F32?

Posted by jamesbrianorr (james.orr@…>)

Folks,

Bought my F32 2 years ago, and have been using the camber spar jibs the last 2
years (which
given the short season up hear (Rochester, NY) and the inevitable new (to me at
least) boat
work, has been sufficient. The boat did come with 2 large head sails though,
that I would like
to try out this year, but am in need of 2 genoa t-track cars to set them up
(unfortunately, the
boats came with most things, but the cars did not make the trip). Does anyone
have any
specs/sourcing for cars which might have come with a 1988 vintage F32?

Thanks,

-Jim Orr

If you don’t want to point too high, you can always attach
snatch blocks to the toe rail. At least you can test out the sails before making any modifications to the boat. You may find out the bigger sails are not worth the effort.

Van

Perhaps I misspoke when I said “large”. One is actually a 110, and the other a
155 tri-
radial drifter (certainly larger). And part of the interest in flying a
non-self-tacking jib is to
give my children something to do while sailing :-). My son especially, like to
tweak things
when out sailing (he races Laser’s, 420’s, Interclubs (winter sailing avoiding
the ice, while
trying to keep one’s sheets pliable – lovely) competitively, and crews on
J-22’s, J24’s,
Melges, etc.).
