Hi Allan,

Just installed one this spring on my F21.
The main hoop is mounted in the well between seatback combing and the toerail
and just aft of the forward stantions of the fixed rail that wraps the stern.

I’ll take some pics this w/e.
I did need to cut 4” off the bottom of the main support, but it was no
big deal. Drill out the rivets, and reattach the mount with self tapping
screws.

The boom clears the bimini w/o issue and
you have some area in the cockpit to stand fully erect.

Where is the best place to buy a bimini and how hard are they to
install and how much do they run?? After getting baked this summer I

Hey Doug,

If your referring to my add that noted a bimini… When I bought my 21 it already came with a bimini and frame. If you were to visit a marina/yacht club I am sure that contacts their would have details on who does such modifications with canvas with dodgers or biminis.

Doug I bought mine from West Marine they have a large selection from which to choose. The price I paid was about $350. It covers about three inches over the stern and runs about four inches over the boom . The model Number that I purchased is #598830S. I see that the price has gone up about $75.00. No Doug the end of the clue is about 10 inches from the end of the boom so that the sail or boom passes under the end of the bimini .
