Well…this should take care of Stephanie and her cohorts!! We’ll see.
There was some discussion on the original Freedom BB, that I can’t get
back to now, about the installation of new gaskets on the older Bomar
portlights.
Question I have is whether the hinged window was removed to cut away
the old gasket, or was it necessary to stand on your head in some
places with the window in place to make the change? If the window was
removed, what was the process and how difficult was it to get it
unhinged and then reinstalled?
Incidentally, I have elected to go with no email in this group, so
I’ll look for responses on the web site. I hope it works like the
original BB where I would see message subjects and then read or not
read the content.
Thanks
Jerry

Jerry,
I removed the port lids to cut away and replace the gasket material.
Not difficult to do - just be careful to catch the nylon washers when
you unscrew and pull out the hinge pins. I used a bit of masking tape
to hang the washers in position when reinserting.
Best of luck and enjoy your dry cabin.
Bob
