Is anyone using a boom furling system on either a F35, F40, or F45?
I would be interested in the model you are using and your experience
with the system.

Warren River Marine has installed them on several Freedom 45’s. I would check with Mr. Dennis at the boatyard.

I have a F 45, hull #30, a 1991. Previous owner converted to roll
furling jib, and leisure furl roller furling boom. I am new to the
boom system, and still learning how to use it. I have never sailed
a freedom before so I do not know if we have lost performance.

It works well, once properly set up, the key is the angle of the
boom to the mast so you get a straight roll, once you have the vang
lines marked, it is not too hard. I have 7 battens in my main, so
it sails pretty well.
