brochures

Chris,

I added a Voyager (from Canada)
windvane last spring. I do not have a lot of sailing experience with. The
operation and mounting are very nice and it is a very rugged yet light unit.
They have a very simple custom mount (four bolts) that they designed and cast
for Michel. I did as Michel did and ran the control lines down and through the
cockpit and rudder quadrant opening and then up to the wheel. Their wheel assembly
is very nice with a brake so you can leave the lines always connected. I was at
a boat show in the full and they have made a few improvements on the newer
model. Easier to adjust heading, a bit lighter.

I had one incident where I jibed but with
the vane in the raised and locked position. In that position it can not swing.
Nothing bent but the gearing was knocked off alignment so it would only turn one
way. I figured I had done some major damage. Turns out I just had to undo the
gearing cover and set screw and turn the gearing to its center point (which is
labeled). The gearing is UHMW and must be very tough to have survived, skipped
gear teeth and yet had no visible marks.

The unit is unobtrusive (for a vane) due
to the simple mounting.

Hey Chris,

Where are you in OZ? Kerri and I might be joining a delivery trip to
Darwin.

Hi Michel,

I’ve just bought a 1985 F33/35 which I’m keeping in Tasmania. As far
as I can tell she’s the only US built centreboarder in Australia.

I’d be very interested in your F33/35 brochures and specs. Could you
e-mail me please?

Also does anyone have experience of windvane self-steering on these
boats. What models work best.

Cheers for the New Year

I have F40 and F33/35 catketch brochures and specs that I can email
you if you like. If somebody has F44 stuff scanned, please be
advised that i’d like to have that in my collection too.

Best wishes to you all,
