I have continual problems with the dual-bulb fixtures- poor contact
between the bulb and socket- can’t get them to work consistently-
anyone solved this problem?

Not on these particular lamps, but a
dremel moto tool with small wire brush gets any corrosion dug out, used it on
my Columbia a few years ago.
