Can''t rig my F21 until May - coz we are frozen solid up here.

Allen, tonight it will be even colder here (minus 11 F) but at least
we have had brilliant sunshine today. Maybe I should build a solar
greenhouse/workshop so I could at least paint my F21 tiller and
rudder, and repair my Folbot kayak, and even get ready to build a
Chesapeake rowing wherry at weekends. I have just bought myself a
Concept2 indoor rower so as to keep fit (I’m 65 and am fed up mining
firewood to keep our house off oil). Global warming, my Grannie!

Christopher,

I’ve got my Freedom on Lake Kerr in North Carolina. It’s a chilly 45
outside. Supposed to be in the 60s this weekend.

Allen, I’m envious.

You must be somewhere warmer than Montreal. Last night it was
minus 20
Celsius (minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit) - I have eight feet of snow
piled
on my back deck - yesterday I used my snowblower to remove another
4
inches of the white stuff.

People are fishing our Ottawa River from hundreds of icehuts, the
occasional snowmobile zooms up and down, but for some reason the
ice
is not strong enough for our traditional ice road to Oka from Como.

Lucky seadogs, aren’t you?
