Cock-pit tent

I am living aboard my F35 in Brittany.
I notice other boats (non Freedoms) here have cock pit tents of various design’s, have other F35 ownersinstalled or had one fitted.
Whilst space not a problem, I consider it would certainly extend available space as winters here are mostly fairly mild.
Love to hear from anyone on ths subject.

In Florida we have big total cockpit mosquito and no-see-ums mesh…would be too hot for a camper top canvas. Any canvas company can create them as they are very popular on power boats.

Definitely helps livability in colder climates. I havent seen any Freedoms with them, even in the Bay Area.

Thank you for your reply.
I have a sail maker coming to measure and prepare a quotation.
I shall keep you informed of progress.

I have already modified the cockpit rails where the upper level deck runs in the cockpit as when stood on the upper level deck the wire is behind my knees, a perfect way to go overboad clipped on or not.
I have continued 1" s/s tubing fron the taff rail to the gate on the starboard side, and the same on the port side.
Must say its much more secure doing that.
I am in the process of raising the height of the guard rails from the gate to the bow, by around 6 inches, new s/s stanchions on to which will run a hardwood rail approx 2" x 1" shaped polished and varnished.
It means I can dispense with the top rail 5mm wire.
The gate will have a hinged opening of the same hardwood.
I am experimenting in curving the rail hardwood on edge so no joints.I hit on using the curve of the hull on which he toe rail sits, which is of curve I wish to replicate.
By clamping both ends of the length of hardwood to the inner deck, and then a couple of clamps equally spaced to pull the on edge wood towards the toe rail, wetting it and using a very hot heqt gun along the length creates steam and hopefully will get the curve I want.
I am partially disabled due to a spinal problem, where a vertebrae in my neck is pressed on to the spinal cord and particularly on the nerve controlling balance, MRI scans show.
The extra height of the rail means i can walk securely and not bent forwards.
