Dining Table

Posted by sailing285 (sailing285@…>)

Does anyone have a picture they could share of the dining table that
can be set up in the cabin or the cockpit? I am curious as to where and
how it mounts too.
Thank you,
Jim

I presume that you do not have the portable teak table.

I had the table on my F-21 “Blue Merle”. Unfortunately, I don’t
have a picture. However, there is a drawing that I made years ago
for another Freedom 21 owner at the Freedom 21 information site
(http://www.freedom21.info/). The drawing has been scanned to PDF
(http://www.freedom21.info/f21table.pdf).

The boat had two sets of “mounts” for the table. One set was on the
top of the transom so that the table could be used in the cockpit
(just stand the tiller up). The second set was just under the
bridge deck at the companionway hatch so that the table could be
used in the cabin.

The table had two (2) sets of matching “male” pieces (one pointing
up and one pointing down – “up” was cabin, “down” was for the
cockpit) as shown in the drawing. These inserted into the female
pieces and were held with a pin.

The table leg was of proper length to use in the cockpit. However,
the bottom of it was notched to match the V-slot in the removable
bilge panel on the cabin sole. This made the table level in the
cabin. So the same table leg could be used in both places.

Hope this helps,
