Does anyone know where to get replacement weatherstrip for the
opening portlights on Freedom 21?

I have a freedom 21 with the same problem. Did you look at west marine? My boat looks like it is a one piece screen imbedded into the porthole frame. My port collect water because of the angle only one of four leaks. West marine has shutters that you can caulk into the porthole to divert water but they are $50 apiece. I just bought my 21 and still learning. My forward hatch latch is broken and without tape comes open and leaks. I have to find a small hatch to replace. How long have you had your boat??

Dave & Bill,

The opening ports are made by Beckson. See www.beckson.com for
parts. Keep the seal clean to avoid leaks.

For all basic F-21 info, see www.dwyergreen.com Rigging for all
lines is found in Commissioning Instruction.

The forward hatch is a Bomar "Gray Low Profile Molded Hatch.
WEST MARINE has them for $139.99 (117889)

Thanks very much, all. The F36/38 does have metal
strips around the
lights. Possibly aluminum, possibly brushed stainless
steel. I remember the 32’s now. That’s a little
different installation. Will try the Brasso fix before
replacing all the hazy lexan. But every seal is shot
and every openable port has begun to leak slightly. So
I’ve got to get those gasket-type strips fom somewhere
and pull and rebed the lot. I’ll call Mark at TPI
first, as someone suggested, and see what they know.
Thank you. It is time to restore the wood inside, but
no sense starting that until the leaks around the
ports are cured. All doable. And how
lovely she will be. Thank you for your experience.
