F25 battery placement

Posted by triciacoldren (tcoldren@…>)

The battery in my F25 was moved by a previous owner from under the
starboard quarterberth to the starboard cockpit locker. Just curious - where do
other F25s have their batteries?

Thanks,
Tricia

Mine is also under the quarter birth. I would not like to have the battery any
further towards the stern as my boat tends to sit low in the stern compared to
her waterline. I wonder if anyone else has noted this. An old friend increased
his battery capacity and put both batteries under the stairs (out board engine
so lots of space there). Try to keep the weight as forward as possible.

I placed my two batteries under the sink next to the centerline
bulkhead, this locates the weight over the keel. Run heavier
guage wire to your fuse panel to reduce line drop. A garbage bin
fits in front of the batteries and the ice chest goes under the
stairs.
