What’s the deal. Does an F30 draw 4.5 feet, 5 feet or 5.5 feet? Why
would there be different drafts from one F30 to another F30?

Well, an inch or two variation can come from where you start measuring. But, as I’ve noted before, I’ve yet to see one that has a draft of anything near 4.5’, and from a few emails I’ve received from others, they haven’t either. So, before all the hauled boats are launched, maybe everyone can measure and we can do a survey…

-I own F-30, hull #18. When I was shopping for one, I was informed
they made a shoal draft (4.5’)and a deep draft (5.5’). The boat I
purchased was listed as having the shoal draft. After flying to
California to have it surveyed, I was pleasantly surprised that it
was the deep draft, as I live in the Northwest. The broker w/me had
been to the factory and represented the line for years. He mentioned
they sail quite similiar, but I might have a harder time selling it
in the NW due to deeper water, althouogh it would be in higher demand
near Florida,etc…
