About once a year Newfoundmetals will do custom casting of
portlights. I’ve been thinking if a number of us get together on a
portlight order, it may be more worth their while and ours to get
those pesky fixed portlights replaced. Anybody interested?

Yes, I would be interested in replacing them on my 36/38 Freedom.
I’d be interested depending on price. Keep me in mind.

I’d be interested in the details. Please add me to your response

I too would be interested, depending on price.

Add me to the list. (Sorry for slow response due to non-sailing vacation.) I imagine that the large fixed ports are the same for our F-28 as in the 30 and 36. Can Newfoundmetals do angled sides or just squared-off ends?

Assuming the F30 has the same size as the F36(just fewer) I would
probably be interested. I figure the aft starboard port which goes
through the bulkhead may be an issue though. It would be great to
have an opening port in the galley.

Someone does or did make opening non-rectangular ports for the F-30. My newly acquired F-30 has an opening port in the galley, and it looks to be original. In fact, the 1987 Freedom price list shows the opening galley port as an option. So, who made the ports for the F-30 in 1987?

Bomar.
But they no longer make the that model port, fixed or opening.
Certainly an opening port in the galley would be nice.
