Are you familiar with the gunmount spinnaker setup? We use ours
frequently. The spinnaker itself is a bit worn and has a few patches
but provides a lot of exciting sailing without the hassle of a
conventional spinnaker. Basically, it’s a square sai upside down,
with the yard mounted on the pulpit and just one clew, which is
raised 2/3rds of the way up the mast. It can be jibed, tacked, even
used to sail backward, and easily pulled down into the sock.
