Freedom 21 Mast track

Hey folks, I am try to re-fasten the sail track on my carbon fiber
mast on a Freedom 21. Figured I could just pop rivet it back on but
cant fit the nose of the tool in the track slot. Any suggestions or
am I trying to accomplish the task with the wrong fastener. Any help
would be appreciated.

Can you grind the side down till it fits?

I had the same problem. I used a small metal cylinder as a spacer, about 3/8 of an inch ling, and the right size to fit over the pop rivet shaft, but fit into the track. Good luck.

look for a long nose rivet tool. try MSC on the net
