We’ve been sailing Jabberwocky, hull #24 of the Mull-era 28s, for seven summers. She’s brought us from being what I think of as “fiberglass puptent campers” in our former Gary Mull Ranger 23 to being “spend two weeks in Maine” cruisers. Now we’re ready to move up and go further.
For the moment, we’re offering her directly: details at http://home.earthlink.net/~sailonset/Freedom28specs.html

Russ,
That’s quite a boat! Not sure if I ever came across one; I had thought the 39s were the “pirate ships.”
While we want to move up in size, Attitudes may be going a bit too far up. I’ve always wondered about swivel/reading chairs in the saloon; how do they work?

They work great! They are comfortable enough to nap in, if you were so
inclined. The swivel
chair concept was actually one of the reasons I bought Ketch 22,
http://home.earthlink.net/~svs.1/
My previous boat (an ericson 30) would give me a sore back, because all
the seats seemed to have 90 degree angles associated with them. It was
difficult to get comfortable.

David,
The Freedom 40 is the Prirate Ship.
The swivel chairs are terrific. It really makes the cabin comfortable.

Russ

Hi Russ - We’re selling a 1988 Freedom 30. The boat is located at Brewers in Greenport, NY. It has a great layout with two staterooms, two gps’, loran, battery separator, fully battened main and self tending jib to name a few things. Winter storage is already taken care of for this year. The boat is in the water for easy viewing. If interested please give us a call - 917-826-2325 Anthony or myself at 917-488-9045 or nancy.ferris@… (I’d love to consider your offer of a trade but the only reason we’re selling is that we don’t get to use it often as we have two very small children.) Good luck and happy sailing.freedom39@… wrote:
