I visited this boat last year before winter and have many pictures. If your interested let me know I will send them to you. The F29 is an interesting model because so few were made. I cannot remember exactly but I think the number was 15 or 19. This particular boat is priced well below the market value, in my opinion because it needs work. I also talked to G. Hoyt and he had not so much to say about the boat. Simply that this model was discontinued after the company was sold.
regards,
mike

I also inquired about the boat from the brokers, and
via
TPI. There is some cored hull damage overhead on both
sides of the companionway. Possibly due to excessive
pressure
by owner or other on some deck mounted fittings back
when.
It leaves a mystery amount of reconstruction. Tough to
tell
how far forward and back sandwiched trapped rotting
over-
head is involved.
Still, an interesting boat. At one point, one of the
two brokers
said there was someone around their parts who could
fix the
damage for “about three hundred dollars.”
But bondo-approach, you don’t want. Only seals the
mess.
Sail Magazine’s new quarterly fix-it publication,
which debuted
last year, had a great article on cored hull
reconstruction. Sorry,
I’ve forgotten the name of the publication. Someone
else may
recall, or find it on your marine-oriented newstand.
Keep us informed. Jacqui Mac
