We are looking at several Freedom 45’s in our area, and would like
to know if there is anything in particular that we should look out
for when evaluating these boats.
Likewise, one of the boats has teak decks. Does anyone have any
experience with Freedom’s teak decks? I am curious as to whether
they have had problems or whether the installations were done
properly so that there have been few/no instances of deck rot due to
leaks.
Thanks so much.

Paul Dennis, of Warren River Boatworks, in Warren RI is probably the most
knowledgable person about Freedom Yachts. If I had known about him before, I
would have had him look at my boat prior to purchase. He is not a surveyor, but
knows the boats better than anyone. If you are in the Norhteast, it would be
worth your time and money to see if he wold look at a boat in which you are
interested.
