I have the reverse problem. Much of the FW system was disconnected for refit. We
did not go near the pump, which is very hard to get to. After reconnecting
things, the FW pump cycled once, then quit. any advice?

On mine the pump would continue until it blew the circuit breaker. This was due to a bad pressure switch as well.

Happens on my boat too on rare occasions without even doing anything
to the freshwater system.
Nine times out of ten I can reach around under there and jiggle the
wires to locate a loose connection.

In your situation I would check the following, in this order:
Meter the breaker on your panel that serves the pump
Check the breaker on your panel, make certain that it’s not tripped
Check/meter the inline fuse, make sure that it isn’t blown
Meter the wiring on both sides of the pressure switch (that will tell you if it is still opnl)
If none of these things enlighten you, it probably means your gonna have to pull the pump.
