Gunmount Spinnaker - sizing the sail to the pole

Hi,
I’m looking for two pieces of information about the gunmount
spinnaker on a Freedom 25.
First, how long should the aluminum tube be?
Second, how long should the foot of the spinnaker be? [The same
as the tube or a little bit shorter? 95%? less?].

Actually the tube and foot lengths from any gunmount rigged
Freedom would be useful. My F25 has a replacement tube that seems to
be a bit shorter than I’ve seen described and I need to find an
appropriate sized used spinnaker so I can test it out.

I don’t know the exact length that the tube should be, especially on
a 25, though I can say this: When it is extended to its midpoint it
should be short enough to easily spin around in front of the mast.

The foot of the spinnaker on my 32 is LONGER than the pole. Again, I
don’t have exact measurements but I’d guess it’s 10-15% longer. That
seems appropriate; even on a close reach there’d be no reason to pull
the foot to totally flat.

I someone doesn’t chime in with the exact measurements you’re looking
for I’d be happy to measure mine, if that would help.

My F25 spinnaker pole is 16 feet long. It is the original Hall Spars
pole. On the F25 the pole will not pass in front of the mast when
extende to the mid point.
