I just wanted to say “hi” to all. My name is Jim. My wife, Issy and I
bought Freedom 21 #285 down here in St Petersburg, FL. She was
previously owned by John Hughes and has been kept in really nice
shape. “Little Bandit” is now part of our fleet of small boats but
appears to be getting a lot of use! She is berthed at the incredible St
Petersburg Municiple Marina. We also own a Hobie 16 which we race, a
new Sunfish, a classic 13’ Boston Whaler, and a 24’ Pursuit center
console. Yeah, a lot of boats but they all get their fair share of
love. Our sailing experience: My wife is a novice but getting the hang
quickly and myself, since I was a young one on my parents sailboats.
Anyway, it’s time to go mow the lawn then head out for a sail. I’m sure
I’ll be asking a question here or there but in the meantime if anyone
is down in the area please feel free to touch base and we’ll arrange
for a sail.

Verle, my daughter lived in ST.Pete for 4 years. I loved that town. I bought new windsurfing gear from the Tackle Shack.2 guys at Madera beach would always rent me a Hobie 16 for the day.I could walk to the West Marine store. I windsurfed off the beach at the sailboat show. I hope you realize how lucky you are to have a Freedom 25. Just another toy I want. My F-21 will have to suffice.A big WELCOME to the forum.Enjoy your new toy.
