Hi everyone!

I’m hoping someone with an early Freedom 40 Center Cockpit (mine was a 1981) might be able to help me out.

Sadly, I lost my boat, _Bolero_, in November 2020 when she sank during a towing operation at Barnegat Inlet, NJ. I believe the tow was conducted negligently, and I’m currently pursuing a legal case related to the sinking.

I’m trying to document the original configuration of the **rudder compartment beneath the aft cabin bunk** , particularly the access opening and surrounding structure.

If anyone with a similar Freedom 40 could snap a photo or two of this area, I’d be enormously grateful! No disassembly or tools necessary. And if anyone happens to have a photo with the compartment cover removed, that would be incredible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Brandon
