I''m not leaving the Freedom world ;o)

Dave,
I reluctantly have to admit that I’m looking at an other boat; a
Freedom 40 or 44 however. The unstayed catketch rig is still the most
likeable rig for me.
But now I’ve seen Gio’s newly imported F44 turn circles around my
F33 in our yearly 200 mile solo race, I’m seriously thinking of
trading in ‘Tumlare’ for one of her taller sisters. We also could use
more interior space now we have a baby on the slipway ready to be
launched before the end of this week.

Has anyone ever compared the sailing abilities of an F40 and an F44?
I’d be interested to hear from him or her.

The F40 is the old shallow draft CB longkeeler with transom hung
rudder while the F44 has a finkeel and skeghung rudder, so there must
be differences.

Cheerio
Mike

Mike,
Are you selling your Freedom? Never thought I’d see the day…

I have an F33 CB to offer, but I’m in Europe, so that would not
be
interesting for you in the States.
