A friend and I bought a Freedom-21 ('85) that had been abandonded at a
local lake. I already a have a fin keel F-21 and a Shorland’r trailer.
When I pulled the new boat out of the water I discovered it was a
shoal keel and didn’t want to fit on the trailer. I can adjust the
arms on the trailer that hold the wobbly rollers, but I don’t know how
far down for forward. The boat is on the trailer now. I need to lift
the boat up, adjust the arms and lower the boat so the keel rests on
the rest. I can see disaster written all over this project. There’s no
gantry or hoist on this lake. Maybe I can find a big basketball to put
under the boat. Any suggestions?

Try an automotive hydraulic jack under the keel to lift the boat up an
inch or so. The boat weighs only about 2,000 lbs. That will take the
load off of the brackets/bunks so that you can lower them.
That’s what I did with my full keel version to “adjust” it in the
cradle.
