Is the F25 trailerable???

Posted by holderbrian (holderbrian@…>)

I’d really like to buy a F25. It is the perfedct boat for what I want
to do …except… I want to trailer the boat.
This presents two problems:

  1. Stepping the mast is said to be an arduous, two person and a crane
task and I am a one-person, no crane sailor.
  2. I don’t know where to find an affordable trailer that will work for
    an F25.
    I’d LOVE some intelligent suggestions.
    Cheers,
    Brian

Brian, The F25 is trailerable just as a J 24 is. Need trailer, one was for sale on this site a while back. A J24, Kirby 25 or similar boat trailer would be a close fit. Check yacht clubs to borrow / rent one. A simple A frame will help stepping mast. You will need a travel lift or crane at each end. Again, many YCs are equiped for this task for this size boat. Surley someone knows of a clever technique or modification for
stepping an F25 mast???
In the meantime, Anyone with a lead on a trailer will advance to the
head of my “cool people” list.
Cheers

Brian,
search the archives on this list. I’m sure there are at least 10
posts on unstepping an F25 mast.
